In this workshop, generously offered by Dr. Adam Belsom and Dr. Ana Perés from the Rappsilber Lab at TU Berlin, participating PhD students received valuable guidance on the diverse career opportunities that await after completing a doctorate.
What are the available paths? How do I choose the one that suits me best? How should I prepare and apply—and what comes next? These and many other questions were addressed in an interactive session led by two experienced postdocs of the UniSysCat Cluster.
Six participants—diverse in nationality, field of research, institution, and stage of their PhD—had the chance to engage in direct, personal exchange and benefit from tailored advice in what is planned as a series of four or more sessions over the coming weeks.
The next workshop, focusing on PhD strategies, will take place on Thursday, May 15, from 9:00 to 12:00, again at Villa Bell (Room BEL205a), with Adam and Ana as tutors.
Participation is free and open to all PhD students in catalysis or related fields—EC²/BIG-NSE or UniSysCat membership is not required.
If you are interested in joining, please contact JP at jean-philippe.plonjaret@tu-berlin.de.
We look forward to seeing you there!
