Presentation of CIF (Chemical Invention Factory)

Open to all UniSysCat and EC2/BIG-NSE researchers

EC2/BIG-NSE is happy to welcome Martin Rahmel on coming Thursday, November 26, 2020, from 1 pm on.

During his online presentation, he will highlight a much overlooked career pathway, at least in the chemical domain, the foundation of a startup!

Martin knows what he will talk about by experience. In 2013, he co-founded a "spin-out" of the former Cluster of Excellence “UniCat”, the company DexLeChem GmbH. Having been first responsible for "Business Development and Finances", he then became Managing Director in 2018, the same year where the company made its first profit.

Since September 2020 Martin has been back at the TU Berlin as Director of the Chemical Invention Factory (CIF). TU Berlin is currently investing over 11 million Euro to build the CIF on the Campus Charlottenburg, an incubator for startups and technology transfer in the field of Green Chemistry: the first of its kind! Relying on his own broad experience in the field, and motivated by his conviction that more academic results should be used in real applications, Martin relentlessly works on achieving the mission of the CIF: unfold the impact of chemical research results on sustainability!

Feel free to join this event!
